Oggi sono qui per parlarvi della mia collaborazione con Renautl, che mi ha contattato per per darmi in prova la nuova creatura aziendale: Twizy!
Twizy è una macchina elettrica, super compatta e con 2 posti, agile e veloce (arriva fino ai 90km/h) che abbraccia assolutamente la vita eco che non rinuncia a comodità e design.
Con questo articolo ho intenzione di mostrarvi alcune foto e video che vi racconteranno al meglio la sua fantastica forma compatta, il suo design super fashion e le sue funzionalità.

IL PRIMO URBAN CROSSER 100% ELETTRICO ALLA CONQUISTA DELLE METROPOLI DEL FUTURO
Renault presenta Twizy, disponibile in Italia a partire dal prossimo aprile. L’unico, attesissimo e super innovativo “urban crosser”, 100% elettrico, Renault Twizy rivoluzionerà il concetto stesso di mobilità urbana e conquisterà tutti con le sue forme futuristiche e irriverenti ed il suo potenziale di puro divertimento.
Dimensioni ultracompatte (poco più di 2 m di lunghezza e solo 1,19 m di larghezza), linee ironiche e sorprendenti, piccola e maneggevole come uno scooter ma sicura e confortevole come un’automobile, Twizy diventa l’oggetto indispensabile per chi vuole riconquistare la libertà e la voglia di godersi la vita nelle grandi metropoli contemporanee, soffocate ormai dal traffico, dallo smog e dai parcheggi impossibili.
Twizy diventa, così, il mezzo ideale per muoversi in centro tra shopping, ufficio e vita notturna, senza limiti di accesso e di parcheggio: Twizy è sinonimo di un nuovo stile di vita, intelligente e consapevole, di chi si gode la vita con leggerezza senza dimenticare ciò che conta, rispettando se stessi, gli altri e l’ambiente.
Progettata dal designer olandese Laurens Van Den Acker, a cui si deve il nuovo corso dello Stile Renault, Twizy interpreta con le sue linee accattivanti la leggerezza dell’aria e la forza dell’energia. Perfetta sintesi tra originalità e stile, con le Wing Doors che si librano nel cielo come ali di farfalla, le ruote a vista che si ispirano alle monoposto di Formula 1 e le linee curve che si abbinano a dettagli che strizzano l’occhio allo stile fashion fatto di nuance contemporanee che animano i sedili, gli interni ed il tetto e si abbinano ai cerchi in lega tono su tono o alle personalizzazioni disponibili per alcuni dettagli.
Proposta in tre livelli di allestimento (Urban, Color e Technic) e in due versioni, Twizy (velocità massima fino a 80 Km/h, utilizzabile con patente A o B) e Twizy 45 (utilizzabile dai 14 anni con velocità massima di 45 Km/h). Twizy è divertente da guidare con un’accelerazione da 0 a 45km/h in soli 6 secondi, facile da usare, si ricarica completamente in 3 ore e mezza con un adattatore su una semplice presa domestica, per un’autonomia di oltre 100 Km, e sicura come un’auto. Twizy riesce a rispondere alle esigenze di tutti: dagli adolescenti che hanno voglia di esplorare il mondo, agli adulti che cercano libertà di movimento in città, senza dimenticare le mamme più apprensive che pensano a Twizy per i loro ragazzi.
Twizy sarà disponibile su tutto il mercato italiano a partire da metà aprile ad un prezzo ineguagliabile: a partire da 6.990 euro IVA inclusa.
Come per gli altri veicoli della gamma Renault Z.E., i clienti sottoscriveranno un canone di noleggio per l’utilizzo della batteria, a partire da 50 euro (IVA inclusa) per una durata che va dai 36 mesi agli 84 mesi ed una percorrenza annua di 7.500 km. Il canone di noleggio include anche l’assistenza stradale; i clienti avranno, così, una batteria sempre efficiente ed una tranquillità globale nella loro scelta di mobilità sostenibile con Renault.

THE FIRST URBAN CROSSER 100% ELETRIC
The ultra-compact footprint of Renault Twizy (length: 2,338 millimeters / width: 1,237 millimeters / height: 1,454 millimeters) is ideally suited to city motoring. It will go on sale in Europe early 2012 with a price tag beginning at €6,990 inclusive of taxes, depending on the fiscal measures available in each country.
Like for other Z.E. vehicles, Renault Twizy customers will lease the battery. The monthly subscription starts at €45 inclusive of taxes for an annual distance travelled of 7,500km, a figure which covers the vast majority of ordinary motorists’ requirements.
Renault Twizy’s running costs – insurance, maintenance and energy (battery lease and electricity for recharging) – are just as modest, working out at 15 percent lower than those of a three-wheeled scooter.
A resolutely modern design
Renault Twizy will clearly appeal to busy, carowning city dwellers looking for a second vehicle, as well as to younger drivers interested in a safe way to gain experience in traffic thanks to the availability of a version that will not require a driver’s licence (depending on country).
Although its compact dimensions are likely to prompt comparisons with the world of scooters, Renault Twizy delivers all the fundamentals associated with any car, namely four wheels, a steering wheel and pedals, plus an enveloping body for two occupants sitting in tandem, one behind the other.
Renault Twizy combines real character with a resolutely modern design that boasts sweeping lines, open bodywork, original gull wing doors and a full windscreen which extends over the top of the car to form a large glazed area, not to mention the model’s original lighting signature.
Nimble and practical
Renault Twizy’s enveloping body and side deflectors combine the enjoyment of open-air motoring with protection from the elements. Additional lower door panels are available to provide even more effective shielding against wind and rain.
The amount of in-car stowage space is ideally suited to the needs of owners travelling to and from work, or for light shopping. A 31-litre lockable cubby – ideal for a briefcase or limited shopping – is readily accessible underneath the rear seat. The capacity of this locker can easily be increased to 55 litres. There are also three litres of stowage space either side of the steering wheel.
2 versions available
The version of Renault Twizy which requires a driver’s licence is powered by a 15kW (20hp) motor, while the version that doesn’t require a licence (depending on country) comes with a 4kW (5hp) motor. The 7kWh lithium-ion battery is located underneath the front seat.
Renault Twizy’s carefully honed weight – 450kg, including batteries (100kg) – is directly beneficial to its range which stands at 100km (combined cycle). Its battery is also particularly easy to charge thanks to an extendable spiral cable stored beneath a flap at the front of the vehicle.
Thanks to an integrated charger, this cable is also compatible with roadside battery charging facilities. An adapter permits this cable to be plugged into any 220V 10A household electrical supply. The battery fully charges in three-and-a-half hours.
Optimal safety
Renault Twizy’s bodywork is far more visible in traffic to other road users. In the case of a head-on collision, both occupants are protected by a deformable structure, while the outboard position of the four wheels and the lateral beams located either side of the chassis provide protection should the vehicle be involved in a side-on impact. The safety retention systems include a driver’s airbag, a four-point harness at the front and a three-point safety belt at the rear. Also, since Renault Twizy’s occupants are protected and held in place, they are under no requirement to wear any sort of protective gear.
Thanks to its four-wheeled chassis and extremely low centre of gravity, Renault Twizy delivers a reassuringly stable ride, while disc brakes all-round ensure precise, efficient stopping power.
